Baby shower is an exciting event whose purpose is for the father-to-be and the mother-to-be to share and celebrate the coming of the expected baby with friends and family. On Saturday, April 7, 2007 at noon, Markus and Yenni Tjokrosoesilo had a baby shower party at their residence, and about 50 people came to share the joy.

After most of the guests arrived, we gave thanks to God for the food that He provided us. Then, the feast began! The lunch started with egg rolls as appetizers followed by soto ayam served with prawn crackers as the main course. They also served es campur as beverage. Throughout the lunch, Markus and Yenni’s wedding recording was shown. Following the lunch, Eva Muljadi led the praise and worship.

The celebration continued with game time hosted by Cecylia Sadikin. First, the participants were divided into 2 groups. In the first game, 2 people from each group demonstrated how a parent fed milk to a baby using a bottle. Coca cola was chosen as the substitute for milk. The first group was represented by Om Simon as the parent and Pastor Somi as the baby, while the second group was represented by Bu Mutia as the parent and Robin Tan’s father as the baby.

In the second game, 2 other people from each group demonstrated how a parent fed the baby some food. The food chosen for the second game was apple sauce. The first group was represented by Geoffrey as the parent and Chien as the baby, while the second group was represented by Haniel as the parent and Budi Wong as the baby.
