It was a privilege for IFGF Houston church to have Dr. Jonathan Trisna—an author of Christian marriage from Indonesia—talk about finding the right soul mate and raising excellent children on Saturday, February 24. As the theme self-explains, there were many young singles and young couples who came to this seminar that was divided into two sessions. The first group was more attracted to the first session as Dr. Trisna revealed his four filters to find the right soul mate. He said that it should begin with a newborn Christian, maturity, parents’ approval, and faith & prayer respectively. His well-elaborated explanation on each section drew a conclusion that Christian singles should stick to this four issues on their mind as they come to a stage of finding the RIGHT soul mate. A period of time prior to this stage should be used to develop friendship with everybody around. However, he disagreed with using this concept as an excuse to have more than one relationship at the same time.

The second session attracted many young couples who either already have children or are expecting a child. Dr. Trisna said that to raise excellent children, the parents should satisfy the children's physical, mental/skill, personality, and spiritual needs. Also, he emphasized on the parents' roles in finding out their children's potential and encouraging them to excel in their area of interest. The seminar was then closed with a prayer by Dr. Trisna.
