Simon Kaonang
Dr. Simon Kaonang was raised in Ujungpandang, Indonesia, in the influence of Pentecostal Christian parents. He moved to Surabaya in 1954 to study medicine at the School of Medicine of University of Airlangga. He graduated in 1963 as a Doctor and practiced medicine while teaching Microbiology at his alma mater. He was married to Mary Suryani in 1958 and was blessed with a daughter, Susan Kaonang.
He moved with his family to the United States in 1982 and then joined IFGF Houston as one of the starting members and one of the leadership team members. He has been involved in maintaining the IFGF Houston Church relationship with the Indonesian Consulate and is now managing the church building fund.
