The Land
During the next couple years, the church leaders looked for church buildings that were already on the market, but none was suitable for our needs. On April 12th, 2001, IFGF GISI Houston acquired a .9 acres land for $131,500. Praise the Lord, that piece of land was paid in full 6 months later.
In 2003, we felt that we had to move with a step of faith. We believed that, "if we can see (the church building) with our eyes of faith, we would see it physically". Psalm 126:1 (NIV): "When the Lord brought back the captives to Zion we were like men who dreamed. Our mouths were filled with laughter our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations "The LORD has done great things for them". The Lord has done great things for us and we are filled with joy. It was in year 2003 that God put this verse into our hearts and with a step of faith we moved forward with a plan to start building. Meetings were held and searches for bank loans were made. On June 11th, 2004, the leadership met again with the final budget to start building.
